My first Dara Beauty Market skincare haul

My First Dara Beauty Market Skincare Haul

With the enhanced community quarantine currently implemented, it's a challenge to get hold of your personal necessities, most especially, your skincare needs. I slightly panicked when I realized some of my skincare products were almost running out and the nearest drugstore is about five kilometers away. I tried my ever-trusted beauty website, BeautyMNL, and although they have resumed their delivery services nationwide, they cannot guarantee how long the shipping will take with the current ECQ situation. And I can't afford to wait for very long.

So I looked for Cebu-based stores and tried looking at Go Bloom and Glow but they didn't have the products I was looking for. Thank goodness, I remembered that Dara Beauty Market exists! I checked their website and saw their huge announcement that their website is currently down. I was about to feel sad but then I continued reading the announcement and voila, they are temporarily accepting orders and deliveries through their Facebook and Instagram pages. Yay! ~happy dance~

I immediately messaged them on Instagram and got a response an hour later. They sent me an order form which I excitedly filled out. A few hours later, they confirmed my orders and sent me their PayPal link for the payment. After everything was settled, they told me my orders will be delivered the next day and they will update me once it's out for delivery. I was really happy that my heart went *oops*. Haha. I know you, my fellow skincare enthusiasts, understand what I was feeling, right? :P

Around 12:45PM the next day, I received a text from Dara Beauty Market that my order is on the way. My order was delivered through Angkas and yes, the delivery fee is shouldered by the customer. I paid the Angkas driver and happily went back inside and disinfected everything. Haha. This is the first time I bought from Dara Beauty Market that is why I wanted to share my experience and of course, what I bought from them.

My First Dara Beauty Market Skincare Haul - Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask 2X

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask 2X (Php 650) - I have tried the original variant, Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, and I had a love-and-hate relationship with it. Actually, I think it wasn't the product or the brand but the usage of a clay mask per se. Because I wasn't sure if it really had an effect on me. It's been months since I last included a clay mask in my skincare routine but this time, I wanted to give it another try.

And because I am a hardcore Innisfree fan, I chose to try the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask but this time, it's the 2X variant. They say that this is an upgrade of the original variant as this features 2x more powerful adherence to sebum for a more intensive pore care. You know that I have an oily combination skin type so I'm hoping and expecting that this can really help in unclogging and tightening my pores. We'll see!

My First Dara Beauty Market Skincare Haul - Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Scrub Foam

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Scrub Foam (Php 500) - I have tried using this once before and I really loved this scrub but because this was just too pricey for me, I didn't think of buying this again. What I have been using after this was the St. Ives Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub but I really hate how rare I get hold of this variant as it's always sold-out.

I have been using my sister's Neutrogena facial scrub and I don't really like its effect on me. So I had no choice but to go back to this scrub from Innisfree. Other than the price, I really don't have any other issue with it. In fact, I love the Jeju Volcanic Pore Scrub Foam because I can really feel that it deeply cleanses my face without irritating it and like the St. Ives scrub, my face always feels extra soft and smooth after using it. But you see, as long as my skin loves it and I can see the effects, the price wouldn't really matter anyway. Right?

My First Dara Beauty Market Skincare Haul - The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (Php 500) and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (Php 470) - These are my new skincare favorites. I have been using the Niacinamide for a while now and so far, my skin's not showing any signs of breaking out or anything. Thank goodness. I gave in to the hype because the thousands of good reviews was just to good to take a pass on. And I'm glad I gave in. My skin's really been doing good lately especially now that I haven't been wearing makeup as well. So yeah, I bought a new bottle because I've already used up half of my current bottle and I needed to stock it up because this frequently gets sold-out.

Anyway, I still have these tiny dry areas around my U-zone which is why I also bought the Hyaluronic Acid. I got this recommendation from Doc Andy of Bodyworx during my skin analysis. Hyaluronic Acid is the best hydrating agent and when combined with Vitamin C, gives better anti-aging results. I use the Niacinamide in the morning after toning and before moisturizing while I apply the Hyaluronic Acid at night after my Vitamin C serum.

My First Dara Beauty Market Skincare Haul

I was really happy that I found Dara Beauty Market in these trying times. I'm pretty sure they have been receiving loads of messages on their social media pages that's why they respond a few hours later but it's understandable. And I'm just glad that my orders were received the same day I placed them and the transaction went on smoothly. And did I say that their The Ordinary products are cheaper than the others? You're welcome. *wink*. And yes, they gave out freebies along with my order too! There is no doubt Dara Beauty Market will be my new source for my skincare needs!
