If you're the type who loves adventure and doesn't turn down a challenge, then I suggest you put your dauntlessness and adventure skills to test with Mountain View Nature's Park's Rope Course Adventure! You may have known Mountain View Nature's Park in Busay as a place to have a breathtaking view of Cebu City but their Rope Course Adventure signifies that there is definitely more than sightseeing at the Park.
Mountain View's Rope Course Adventure was our second stop after we went to Sirao Pictorial Garden and Camping Site. Upon entering Mountain View Nature's Park, we paid an entrance fee of Php 50 each. And another Php 150 each for the Rope Course Adventure fee.
Mountain View's Rope Course Adventure has 17 obstacles all in all. It starts from the very easy ones and then the difficult ones are in the middle of the course and transitions into easy ones again on the last part. My only concern was the sanitation of the helmets and gloves. Though they spritzed them with alcohol right before they handed it to us, it would be better if they wash the gloves regularly too. So I advise, you bring sanitizers with you and spray some in your hands right after the rope course.
Our game-on faces! We were very excited at first but when moment we were asked who comes first, we were pointing fingers against each other. Haha! But it was Dani (the one in green) who finally gave in. Haha. Sorry, Dani gurl! *peace sign*
The first obstacle. Very easy! But wait 'til it gets harder!
This looks easy but the tricky part here is that the logs are positioned in different levels. The difficult ones are the logs that are in the lower position because it's hard to step on them from a higher log while it sways!
It wasn't my first time to try a Zip Line and this time I'm so happy that I enjoyed it instead of getting scared. You can also watch my video at the end of this post! :)
This is where the course starts to get difficult.
The Plank Swing was a difficult obstacle but not the kind that makes you want to give up right in the middle of the course. The trick here is to always place your one foot at the center of the plank to balance yourself and take the next plank using the other foot. And never ever place both of your feet on one plank.
This obstacle was more difficult than the Plank Swing. I had to take my gloves off so I can hold myself up better. In the middle of this obstacle, I stopped for a moment because my arms were getting tired of hugging those wooden posts. I actually joked that this course was the hug-for-your-life kind. Our friend, Cams, actually acquired minor bruises because of this.
For me, this was the most difficult obstacle of all. The logs are place horizontally and you only have three ropes to hold on to get you to the next log—the two ropes holding the log on both sides and the one hanging on the center. I almost fell when I made a wrong move and my life was hanging on the center rope only. Haha!
At first, I was really scared to try this but when I saw how it worked, I was excited. If you know how to balance expertly, you don't need to hold on to your harness anymore. Like the Zip Line, this was one of the best obstacle that I really enjoyed it. We also have a video of us on this Surfing Board Zip which you can watch below! :)
This was pretty easy but the tricky part here is climbing up to get on the station post because I'm too heavy I can't lift myself up. LOL
Another easy obstacle but be careful, when you get to the middle part, the log starts to sway!
Just like the Cargo Net, I had quite a difficult time climbing up to the station post. Haha.
The Burma Bucket has the same concept with the Plank Swing. Always place your foot at the center of the rope to get a good balance.
This is part easy, part difficult. Easy because this is still the same as the Plank Swing, difficult because the logs are positioned in a zigzag.
And then we're done! We were so happy to finish all the obstacles! The Rope Course adventure was amazing, scary, fun, and thrilling all at the same time! Shoutout to my dear friends, Cams and Dani for an awesome-filled day! We actually had to spend one vacation leave to achieve this!
And we would also like to thank Kuya Guide (we forgot to ask his name!) for giving us tips how to overcome each obstacle and for amazingly keeping up with us and taking our photos and videos. We even tipped Kuya Php 100 because we were so happy with him! So guys, I really recommend you try the Rope Course Adventure! It's absolutely a must-try!
P.S. You can view our videos with the Zip Line and Surfing Board Zip below. Please excuse my amateur editing as I only used a mobile app to edit the videos. Hehe. Thank you!
